As far back as I can remember, I have had a obsession with animals, especially cats. Growing up, I always wanted a pet cat; however, my dad was very much against that possibility. As a compromise, my dad and I would volunteer at the local animal shelter, walking dogs and socializing with cats every weekend.

After university, I moved to a new town and immediately started volunteering at my new local shelter. This was when my passion for cats really flourished.

I began organizing volunteering days for my co-workers to visit the animal shelter and hopefully adopt a pet or two. It was only a few months later that the Cat Distribution System found me a match in my best friend, whom I named Fika.

Since achieving my dream of having a pet cat, I have started to dream bigger. Now, I've set my sights on running an animal shelter of my own. That's where Kit Chat comes in. Through Kit Chat, I plan to share my passion with like-minded people and, eventually, monetize the blog so that my animal shelter dream can come true.​​
